Breakfast is a continental-style buffet, comprising a selection of cold meats, cheeses (both local and imported French), fresh fruits and cereals, including our own homemade granola (ask nicely and we may give you the recipe).
If you prefer, we will prepare you a cooked option, such as bacon, eggs (any way you like), sauteed mushrooms and tomato. Perhaps you would prefer something more simple such as poached eggs on English muffins, or try one of our specials, which change daily. Favourites include "Eggs Benedict" and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon-trout (a local delicacy). We also offer a variety of vegetarian cooked breakfasts such as avocado with sauteed mushroom and tomato on a corn fritter or French toast.
Although the buffet is served in the dining room, during summer most guests prefer to eat on the patio next to the fish pond, or in the dining room, with its log fire, during the cooler months.
